CITIZEN TO BE HEARD will report on the results of these two elections in November as well as the Miami Dade teachers union election featured in the September post. Issues that appear in all three include partisanship, school finance, transparency and the impact of teacher union positions.
In light of the mass resignations on the CPS Board, we strongly urge the Board to keep CEO Pedro Martinez in place, reject the misguided proposal to borrow more money, and work with all parties to bring transparency and long-term fiscal stability and quality education to the school system.
